Rabbit Island Huts and Appleby House

Nestled in 25 acres of Waimea Plains land with 360 degree views of the Mt Arthur ranges, Richmond Hills and the Waimea Estuary, Appleby House and Rabbit Island Huts is the perfect tranquil stopover location - Located just off the Great Taste Trail, with our own cycle path connecting the trail right to our doorstep. Catering from individuals right through to large groups, it is a perfect, central location, to explore what the region has to offer.

Appleby House is a large, modern contemporary home that offers everything you need in a home away from home.  Rabbit Island Huts and Rabbit Island Glamping is a little bit hotel, little bit glamping and a little bit traditional kiwi camping. We also have a Sauna and outdoor baths, perfect to relax after a long day cycling.

If you don’t have your own bike - We have “The Hutch” right on our doorstep, offering E-Bike hire, hot drinks, delicious food, and much more!
